That's what we thought when we first came across this strange genre. But then again, having grown up with the Tamagotchi and turned into office workers, it started to make sense that you'd want some cute dwellers on your screen, keeping you company while, to a degree, depending on you.

So here's the first version of our own take. Instead of cute animals like Tiny Pasture or cute robots like Rusty's Retirement - here come some cute fantasy heroes! They'll valiantly guard your screen from any monster that would have the audacity to show up in the corner of your eye and just take some loot in return. 

If you want to engage, you can check the loot that they gathered, equip them or sell some stuff for gold, and then buy new things. Like better items. Or more heroes. Or (with future updates) mounts and maybe even buildings you get to decorate. But you can also just sit back and watch them do their little adventures while you do yours!
