Idlewood Outpost
Cute pixel heroes that live on your desktop while you get on with your day.
Idlewood Outpost is an idle desktop pet game where a band of pixel RPG heroes guard your taskbar, collect loot and level up.
Idle by Design Let the game run while you work, study, or doomscroll. Your heroes will patrol, battle, and level up all on their own - no micromanagement, no pressure. Think of it as a tiny fantasy outpost existing quietly in the corner of your screen.
Optional Depth, Cozy Interactions When you do feel like checking in, there’s loot to sort, gear to equip, and new heroes to unlock. There’s no penalties or stress - but you can swoop in at any point and spend some time optimising equipment so that your Rogue gets braver and your Knight faster - or rather the other way around?
Desktop Companions with Personality These aren’t just idle units — they’re tiny pixel people with thoughts, quirks, and the occasional banter. They might chat about the monsters they’re fighting, celebrate a level-up, or just complain that their boots are wet.
A Growing World In Progress This is an evolving game. Planned updates include more unique heroes, mounts to ride, and personal housing you can decorate to make their little corner of the world even cozier.

Good stuff!
Would love to see a more fantasy themed UI and a bit more hand holding at the start.
Thanks for the feedback! Those items are next on my to-do, proof pic attached :P
Just what i need - more distractions when I'm trying to code... LOL
it's awesome!
Thanks the love! Trying hard to dial in the level of interactivity to hit that space between too boring and too not boring :D
Looks cute! I think this is probably headed in the right direction and would like to see more.
Note: Was only able to test on the browser build because I use Linux and the Windows build does not work completely with Wine.
Thanks a lot for your notes, all added to the to do!
It's adorable! Sending some specific notes over on Discord but commenting here for the algorithm :3
